Microblading

Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing because each hairstroke is created by hand using a blade which creates fine slices in the skin.

This technique is regarded as the most popular method of cosmetic eyebrow tattooing in Europe and the United States, since 2015.

The procedure is essentially a semi-permanent tattoo. It lasts one to two years. A touch-up session is encouraged 6 weeks after the first microblading procedure and every 12-18 months thereafter.

SCALP

Micropigmentation

While microblading is typically done with a manual blade, micropigmentation is performed using an electric tattoo device. This is because more power is needed to penetrate the skin on your scalp, which is thicker than the skin under your eyebrows.

The goal of scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is to use tiny, layered dots in different hues of black to replicate the look of a shadow on your scalp. This style, referred to as pointillism, is done to create natural-looking depth and definition.

This process may be useful for people who experience all forms of hair loss. This includes people with:

Cancer | Alopecia | Thinning hair
Male and female pattern baldness

LIPS

Micropigmentation

Permanent makeup (PMU) or micropigmentation is the revolutionary method of depositing hypoallergenic mineral pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. With an ultra-thin needle and pigment, the shape and colour of the lips are enhanced.

Depending on the treatment and lifestyle factors, the procedure’s outcome can last anywhere from 1-3 years. The pigment will fade naturally and lighten over time and is recommended to do a colour boost procedure every 6-12 months.

AREOLA

Reconstruction

Areola repigmentation is a specialty area of tattooing that requires advanced experience as well as technique. Areola pigmentation techniques can “create” an areola after breast reconstruction, minimize the appearance of scars, or restore an areola to a more natural-looking color and shape. It can also provide significant psychosocial benefits.

These tattoos are becoming an increasingly popular option among women who’ve undergone breast reconstruction surgery after recovering from cancer.

SKIN

Stretch Marks Corrections

The problem with stretch marks or tiger stripes is that no matter what color they are, they’re still scars. When collagen and elastin fibers tear during puberty, weight gain, or pregnancy, the skin’s color and texture is permanently damaged.

A cosmetic tattoo artist can apply pigment to stubborn stretch marks in order to disguise them into the rest of the skin. Filling them in with pigments that are two to three shades lighter than a person’s regular skin tone, stretch marks magically fade away.

SKIN

Scar Camouflage

Skin or scar camouflage is tattooing of the skin with different colors of flesh tone pigments. It’s purpose is to disguise a scar or skin area that is missing pigment or color. It is a specialized area of permanent cosmetics that falls under the category of Medical or Paramedical Tattooing.

Unlike traditional tattoos where the artwork is the central focus, paramedical skin micropigmentation focuses on camouflaging and concealing defects.

SKIN

Vitiligo Camouflage

While there is no cure for vitiligo, the camouflage treatment is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that lasts years on the skin without washing off. It is a safe and effective treatment for the skin condition, without any side effects — and it will not trigger spread of vitiligo.

Frequently Asked Questions

What aesthetic services do you offer at Irezumi?

We offer a range of professional aesthetic procedures including eyebrow microblading, lip micropigmentation, and scalp micropigmentation (SMP). Our studio also specializes in advanced paramedical procedures such as areola reconstruction and scar camouflage, ensuring high-quality results for all clients.

Is PMU (Permanent Makeup) safe and how long does it last?

Permanent makeup (PMU) is highly safe when performed with medical-grade pigments and sterile equipment. Results typically last between one to three years depending on your skin type and lifestyle. We use hypoallergenic pigments to ensure a natural look that remains vibrant and safe over time.

What is the downtime for aesthetic treatments?

Most aesthetic treatments like lip blushing or microblading involve minimal downtime. You may experience slight redness or swelling for twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Most clients return to their daily routines immediately, provided they follow our specific post-treatment care instructions for optimal healing.

How do I choose the right aesthetic service for my skin concerns?

Choosing the right service depends on your specific goals, such as enhancing facial features or concealing scars. Our experts evaluate your skin texture and tone during a consultation to recommend the best semi-permanent makeup solution, ensuring the procedure aligns perfectly with your aesthetic desires.

Do you provide consultations before aesthetic or PMU treatments?

Yes, we provide detailed PMU consultations for all new clients. During this session, we discuss your medical history, analyze your skin type, and map out the proposed design. This ensures you are fully informed about the process, expected outcomes, and the permanent makeup cost involved.

How do I take care of my skin before and after my appointment?

Before your session, avoid blood thinners and alcohol for twenty-four hours. For PMU aftercare, keep the area clean and hydrated using our recommended ointments. Avoid direct sunlight, swimming, and picking at any scabs for at least ten days to ensure the pigment settles correctly and stays vibrant.

Are aesthetic services suitable for sensitive skin?

Our aesthetic services are suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. We use high-quality, biocompatible pigments and follow strict hygiene protocols to minimize irritation. If you have extreme sensitivities, we can perform a patch test during your consultation to ensure a comfortable experience.

How often should I schedule touch-ups for PMU procedures?

We recommend a follow-up touch-up session six to eight weeks after your initial appointment to perfect the shape and color. To maintain the best results for eyebrow microblading or lip tints, an annual color boost is advised to counteract natural fading and keep your look fresh.
